Eleousa, is a small village in a beautiful forest that you would not imagine that you could find in Rhodes, surrounded by plane trees that offer the fresh air of the countryside and the sound of running water.
At Eleousa Square there are imposing italian buildings. The largest of these with small curved balconies was the market. The prison was just across the street (it now operates as a school). At one end of the square was the sanatorium and at the other the church of Agios Charalambos, once catholic and now orthodox.
Location: 37 km south of the city of Rhodes
