Itinerary description
One of the most magical experiences you can have during a vacation in Rhodes is watching the Sunset from a panoramic spot, and that’s what this excursion is all about. We start in the village of Salakos, walking along an old mule track to a garden that used to belong to General De Vecchi, Italian Governor of Rhodes between 1936-1940, whose villa in Profitis Ilias now lies abandoned. We cross the garden toward two hotels in Tyrolean style and climb to the top of the mountain. The view from here takes your breath away. We pass by the majestic villa and its chapel on our way down the mountain and back to Salakos. This walk is entirely through a dense stand of cypress trees and Aleppo pines, offering shade on even the hottest days
Transfer available on request: € 10 – € 25 per person (depending on departure point) both ways
