Archaeological Museum Rhodes

The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes is located in the Medieval City of Rhodes.
The museum is housed in the monumental edifice that was the hospital of the Knights of Saint John. Construction of it was begun in 1440 and brought to completion in the time of the Grand Master d'Aubusson.
This archaeological museum showcases priceless objects excavated during digs on the island of Rhodes and the islands of Dodecanese. The collection encompasses everything from ceramics and marble statues to mosaics and funeral urns from the Ancient Ialyssos and Ancient Kameiros and date from the Geometric till the Roman times. There are also mosaic floors from the Hellenistic times and funerary slabs of the Knights.
